DBS Services.

Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) merged with the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) on 1st December 2012 to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Astor Care and Nursing Agency is registered as an Umbrella Body of the DBS and is therefore able to provide employers with access to DBS Standard and Enhanced Disclosures. These are a legal requirement for organisations whose staff work directly with vulnerable adults and children.

Our service involves recording, checking and processing DBS Disclosure applications, tracking their progress, contacting you should there be a query, dealing with any disputes, providing sample policies on the storage & use of disclosure information and the recruitment of ex-offenders, provide any help and support necessary to enable you to use the service effectively.
