About Us

We are a family run business established in October 1990, providing homecare staff, training for care staff and criminal records checking DBS service. We tailor our care service to meet your individual needs by providing carefully selected professional, locally recruited staff who are trained, fully referenced and undergo security screening as part of a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Enhanced Disclosure application.

We are registered with CQC (Care Quality Commission) and were award a rating of GOOD in all areas at our inspection in January 2017.  We are members of UKHCA (United Kingdom Home Care Association) and Surrey Care Association. As members of UKHCA we are committed to abiding by their Codes of Professional Conduct.

Astor has gained an excellent reputation for the high standards of care staff we provide to people in their own homes, day centres, post hospital support, Surrey Social Services and many others.  This includes supporting people with dementia, those with learning or physical disabilities, respite care and end of life care. 

This reputation extends to our Training and DBS services, both of which were established due to demand from other care providers. The Agency is committed to providing and maintaining a quality service at competitive rates.  Our Care Co-ordinators and Field Care Supervisors are all Qualified Health Care Assistants who co-operate fully with General Practitioners, Community Nurses, Social Services and other health professionals as appropriate.
